Converse organisera une soirée exceptionnelle au Showcase, Pont Alexandre III, à Paris, qui sera marquée par un... showcase de... Iggy Pop and the Stooges ! Le chausseur sachant chausser du Massachusetts, propulsé sur le macadam mondial par la Converse All Star échappée des parquets de basket, a donc trouvé la "star" qui lui ressemble !
Le chanteur, connu et reconnu pour ses shows démentiels et son torse, et qui sera prochainement incarné à l'écran par Elijah Wood dans le biopic consacré aux Stooges — actuellement en tournage —, viendra souffler les 100 bougies de Converse.
"L'Iguane" sera entouré par un grand nombre d'autres artistes, qui lui succèderont en deuxième partie de soirée. On espère que Pharrell Williams, qui a récemment a participé à un clip pour les chaussures préférées des stars, sera là et aura chaussé ses baskets tout comme Jane Birkin, la plus grande ambassadrice de la marque en France.
